Ways parents get involved at Twain!
VIPS
Twain boasts an extraordinary number of VIPS (Volunteers In Public Schools) who are an integral part of our school's success. The classrooms and halls are filled each day with parent, grandparent and community volunteers who assist teachers with instruction of students, preparation of materials as well as field trips and on-campus activities. To participate in this very rewarding program, adults must complete an application and pass a TB test. Don't wait to fill out the application until the day you want to help. It takes a few weeks for the Long Beach School District (LBUSD) to process each application. Visit the LBUSD website to download an application. Once you have completed the application, simply turn it into the office and our VIPS Coordinator will contact you when your application is approved.
